Entries are now invited for the first Diesel Progress Awards, which will be held during the Diesel Progress Summit on September 30 in Louisville, Kentucky, USA, the day before the ICUEE exhibition.

The awards will celebrate excellence and achievement in the field of engine and powertrain technology. Winning a Diesel Progress award will demonstrate your industry leadership and recognize the accomplishments of your team members.

The awards are free to enter and there are eight categories:


o        Diesel engine of the year (<175 hp)

o        Diesel engine of the year (>175 hp)

o        Engine distributor of the year (<175 hp)

o        Engine distributor of the year (>175 hp)

o        Electrification newsmaker of the year

o        Electric power application of the year

o        Employer of the year

o        Diesel Progress achievement of the year



The deadline for award entries is Monday 3 June, 2019.

In addition to submitting entries for your own business, companies and individuals can submit entries on behalf of others.


The awards will be assessed by an experienced, independent panel of judges:

o        Jim Saunders (Business Development, MurCal, Inc.)

o        Peter Scherm (General Manager, EUROMOT – the European Association of Internal Combustion Engine Manufacturers)

o        Dr. Andrew Noble (Head of Commercial Vehicle and Off Highway Market Sector, Ricardo)

o        Dr. John Wall (former VP and CTO, Cummins Inc.)

o        Non-voting chair of judges: Mike Osenga (Editor/Publisher, Diesel Progress)
