Having supplied hydraulic equipment for the excavator and construction machinery markets for many years Kawasaki said it is expanding its offerings in the agricultural sector and will launch two new products at Agritechnica – the new K3VLC85 variable displacement pump and the KLSS18 control valve

The K3VLC85 pump is a load sensing pump specifically developed for agricultural tractors or agricultural equipment. The 85cc pump has a rated pressure of 210bar and a maximum self-priming speed of 2800 r/min. It is suited for medium to large horsepower tractors     .

To complement the K3VLC85 in agricultural tractor applications Kawasaki has developed a control valve for-on board and implement control. The KLSS18 valve is the latest additional to Kawasaki’s directional control valves for agricultural equipment.

The KLSS18 is electro hydraulically actuated with electric proportional control and integrated solenoid drivers which permit simple and easy interface with the machine controller. The valve is sectional in construction and can be configured to meet the needs of agricultural tractors by including features such as hitch control.

Jacobs Vehicle Systems, the producer of vehicle retarding and valve actuation technologies, will exhibit for the first time at Agritechnica 2019, joining the booth (no. G24) of parent company, Altra Motion. The company will focus on its diesel emissions-reducing valve actuation technologies, notably two-step variable valve actuation (VVA) and cylinder de-activation (CDA).

German company NAF AG – Neunkirchener Achsenfabrik AG – will use Agritechnica to introduce a new front bogie axle drive system for agricultural machines which, it claimed, is a more cost-efficient drive solution, compared to expensive track systems as front and rear drivelines.

The company, based in Neunkirchen, supplies high performance drivelines for construction, forestry, agricultural, materials handling and mining machines.

Thermamax, which designs and manufacture thermal and acoustic insulation systems for small, medium-sized and large engines will also be exhibiting at Agritechnica. The company will be presenting insulation technologies for maximum safety in the engine compartments of agricultural machinery, along with noise reduction, and also making a contribution to effective exhaust aftertreatment.

TTControl will present the further expansion of its HY-TTC 500 product family with a new safety-certified electronic control unit.

The latest family member, the HY-TTC 508* ECU, fulfils safety requirements up to IEC 61508 SIL2, ISO 13849 PL d and EN ISO 25119 AgPL d. One of its three CAN interfaces is ISOBUS standard compliant. In combination with an extended external flash memory of 16 MB and the Real-Time Clock, it is suited for the requirements of agricultural machinery manufacturers. The company said.

Tractor drive and attachment system segment company Walterscheid Powertrain Group will be presenting new innovations at the trade show which, it said, “mirror the general trend in agricultural technology towards enhanced power density as well as greater efficiency and productivity.”

The company will showcase the latest generation of the HGST hydraulic stabilisers for tractors and its new product among its tractor attachment systems.

The company said that apart from increasing power output the company’s powertrain engineers have focussed on capturing load and status data. It said the company’s Smart & Connected technology developed by the group allows sensors to be integrated into critical drive components.

These sensors can capture and deliver live data from within the powertrain, it added.
