Poclain To Expand US Production

France’s Poclain Hydraulics, a manufacturer of hydraulic motors, pumps, valves, electronics and hydraulic power units mostly for the mobile off-highway and on-highway markets, has announced a manufacturing expansion at its North America headquarters facility in Sturtevant, Wis. USA.

The new production area expansion will be over 60,000 square feet, a 60% increase in space for the production area overall.

Poclain Hydraulics acquired the facility in 2001 for use as their North American headquarters. The existing site development is zoned M-3 and meets the existing facility use requirements. Poclain said the addition will provide the needed framework and floor space to add future processes and product manufacturing to the North American portfolio. The addition will be accompanied by investments in manufacturing equipment, bringing total project investments to over $20 million. Expected occupancy is slated for late 2018.

“The need for this addition is due to the strong growth of Poclain in North America and the expansion of our current product lines. It positions us to respond to future growth and will allow us to bring production of additional product lines to North America.” Markus Rauchhaus, group director North America, Poclain. “With this expansion we are planning a 10% staffing increase in 2018.  Our future roadmap predicts further growth and investment in US manufacturing” he added.
