Cromwell Stepping Down At Kohler

Tom Cromwell, group president at Kohler who oversees the Kohler Power business that incorporates diesel and gaseous-fueled generators, diesel and gasoline engines and uninterruptible power systems, is leaving the company, Diesel Progress has learned. He will assume a senior management position at a publicly held manufacturer of industrial and aerospace technology. Kohler has not yet named a successor. His final day at Kohler is February 15th.

Cromwell came to Kohler in 2009 after 17 years at head transfer specialist Modine Manufacturing. Beginning as president of Kohler’s gasoline engine business, Cromwell assumed the presidency of the overall engine business in 2012. In 2014, he became the group president of Kohler Power, adding power generation systems to his portfolio.

Cromwell was one of the architects of Kohler’s global growth strategy that included a major engine partnership with Swiss engine manufacturer Liebherr and the acquisition of major U.K. power generation specialist Clarke Energy.
