The ever-changing ownership structure of UK engine and generator set manufacturer Lister Petter is changing yet again. The company has seen numerous changes in ownership over at least the last decade.
According to a report on the Lister Petter website, the UK engine and generator set company’s intellectual property, brand and right to manufacture have been acquired by Sleeman & Hawken Limited. Based in Teignmouth, Devon, England the buyer is a dealer supplying engines and parts for the industrial and marine sectors from Lister and other manufacturers including John Deere, Lombardini, Kohler, Hatz and Yanmar.
Although details of the deal remain sketchy, Sleeman & Hawken is understood to have established a 100% owned subsidiary called Lister Petter Power Systems (LPPS) to make and supply Lister Petter products through established original equipment manufacturers, distributors and other channels.
The website added that the existing LPPS factory in Hardwicke, Gloucestershire, England will continue with a new management team in place and the head office will be in Teignmouth. It is understood that the new company will continue to supply existing Lister Petter products although full details are available from email@example.com
