HydraForce announced it has finalized its acquisition of its Brazilian subsidiary, Hydraulic Designers Ltda. Following completion of the acquisition June 2, the company was renamed HydraForce Hydraulics Ltda. No financial details were provided.
The acquisition gives HydraForce, the Lincolnshire, Ill., headquartered manufacturer of hydraulic cartridge valves, custom manifolds and electrohydraulic controls for off-highway industries, a greater presence in the growing South American off-highway equipment market.
“United by a common business culture, this new alliance between HydraForce and Hydraulic Designers promises to strengthen both of our companies,” said Jim Brizzolara, President of HydraForce. “I could not be happier to welcome the Hydraulic Designer staff to the HydraForce family.
“Hydraulic Designers’ ability to provide advanced technical solutions to equipment builders in Brazil is unsurpassed. We welcome their skills and talents, and will make great use of the expanded capacity that this facility will provide for us”.
Hydraulic Designers was established in 2000 and has collaborated with HydraForce on the design and manufacture of hydraulic manifolds for the last 15 years. Hydraulic Designers’ 5000 m2 plant in Taboão da Serra, São Paulo state, employs more than 100 people who design and build custom hydraulic manifolds, primarily for original equipment manufacturers in the agricultural and construction industries. HydraForce Hydraulics Ltda. will work to integrate business systems throughout the next several months.
“We will be working tirelessly on the integration of our business,” said Aldo Bisson, general manager of HydraForce Hydraulics Ltda. “This is a very exciting time for all of us.
“Our immediate and future plans are being carefully crafted with the intention of improving our service to our customers. We will combine our resources and invest in our local capabilities and engineering support with the aim of supporting and growing our business in South America.”
