AGCO Takes Fendt To Brazil

With an investment of approximately US$38 million (R$150 million), AGCO has introduced its Fendt in Brazil. A head office was opened in Sorriso city, Mato Gross state, for sales, training, distribution center as well as a service shop.

The first launch will be two models of 1000 Vario tractors: the 1050 (517 hp/385 kW) and the model 1046 (470 hp/350 kW). AGCO will introduce two other products to be sold by 2020, the Momentum planter and the Ideal harvester.

Fendt may also expand throughout South America next year. Argentina is foreseen as the next stop for the brand installation.

Luis Felli, AGCO’s president in South America, celebrated the largest amount of new products being launched by AGCO; “260 new products between 2017 and 2020,” he said, during the introduction of Fendt for the Brazilian market.

These Vario tractors use a MAN 12.4 L diesel powering a Vario transmission. The machines might be produced in two plants to be adapted in the country next year.
