Håkan Sterner has been appointed President of Scania U.S.A. Inc., the company announced. Sterner succeeded Mikael Lindner, who became president of Scania Japan effective June 1.
In this position, Mr. Sterner will be responsible for Scania USA’s Operations. He is a 27-year veteran with Scania, and has a background in engine design and testing from the Research and Development Center in Södertälje, Sweden. The last seven years he worked as the technical director at Scania Engines. Prior to that, he was head of Engine Design and Engine Testing.
Sterner has extensive experience from the market after seven years in the Scania Engines management group and via close cooperation with different customers. He will work out of the company’s U.S. headquarters in San Antonio, Texas.
