Brazilian manufacturer Randon, Caxias do Sul city, Rio Grande do Sul, announced that it will manufacture backhoe loaders for Wacker Neuson, which will distribute and sell the products in Latin America outside of Brazil.

Randon will be in charge of all production stages, from the development of the machines to delivery to Wacker Neuson. The current arrangement calls for the production and delivery of 800 units through five years. Approximately 100 machines will be shipped in 2017, with the first dozen already delivered.

The partnership was initiated by Wacker Neuson as part of an effort to expand its product portfolio and grow its business in Latin America. The German company manufactures and distributes light and compact machinery worldwide, including excavators, wheel loaders, telescopic wheel loaders, compact dump trucks, compacting rollers and generators. Randon manufactures commercial vehicles and equipment for roadbuilding, construction and railway applications.

“Thank to our consolidated market position and strategic plan, we have an excellent starting point for a sustainable growth in the region, especially with compact machinery,” said Cem Peksaglam, CEO at Wacker Neuson SE. “We offer our clients reliable and efficient machinery which maximize their benefits.”

Randon will produce two four-wheel drive backhoes for Wacker Neuson, the BL744 and the BL742. Both machines support an operational weight of between 6.0 to 7.0 metric tons.

“Randon is proud for sharing this opportunity with Wacker Neuson in Latin America,” said David Abramo Randon, Randon’s president. “We are two companies with solid principles and fundamentals to offer the best solution to the market and certainly from this cooperation may come new opportunities,”
