Approximately six months after it was acquired by equity company Morgenthaler Partners, Phillips & Temro said it has acquired engine fan manufacturer Truflo Air Movements of the United Kingdom. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Based in Tipton, England, Truflo is a global manufacturer of engine cooling fans for the heavy-duty off-road markets, primarily construction and power generation. It had been part of Concentric plc, a global group of companies headquartered in Birmingham, England, specializing in the design, manufacture and supply of pumps and cooling fans to diesel engine and equipment manufacturers.

This acquisition is the first step in Phillips & Temro’s growth strategy. A Morgenthaler spokesman said the company plans to look for additional acquisitions for the Phillips & Temro, with particular interest in companies that manufacture highly-engineered powertrain, electrical distribution and emissions control products.
